The conference will be held on the campus of the Faculty of Engineering of the University of Freiburg, Germany. The campus is a bit outside the city center and main train station ( where all of the hotels enlisted here are located, except for the first one on the list). It is however easily reachable by public transport in 15-20 mins from the city center and main train station, via e.g. tram No. 4 heading towards “Messe” alighting at the tram station “Technische Fakultät”.

We have an arrangement with the first two hotels on the list below. The first hotel is within walking distance of the conference location, but all other hotels are within a short tram ride to the conference.

The hotel is a bit outside of the city center (10 mins by tram no. 4 heading towards “Messe” alighting at the tram station “Technische Fakultät”), it is however the only hotel within walking distance of the conference location (and the hotel was always liked by our guests).

We negotiated a limited number of rooms at a special rate for DISC participants. The negotiated price for a single room is 92 EUR per night and the negotiated price for a double room is 125 EUR per night (in both cases including taxes and breakfast). In order to be able to book a room at this rate, you have to book directly with the hotel (by phone or email) and you have to use the booking code “DISC conference”. The special rate is only guaranteed until September 25.
Colombi Hotel
This is a more luxurious hotel in the city center, which also offered reduced prices to us. With the booking code “DISC conference”, you should be able to book a single room for 181 EUR per night, a double room for single use for 202 EUR per night, and a double room for 2 people for 231 EUR per night. Those prices do not include breakfast. To reserve a room at this rate, you have to book directly with the hotel and use the booking code “DISC conference”.
